English vs. Japanese Typography motion graphics

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 14, 2009, 8:43 PM
Hey,
For our last project this semester, the college told us to do whatever the hell we like for 6 weeks and come back with some experimental work... I worked on animation/motion graphics as I'd never tried anything of that sort before. I'm putting up the final output here for everyone to see and leave feedback :)

English vs. Japanese Typography

It's a showdown between Japanese and English letter forms done in a very simple style with very simple animation. Please do comment and let me know what you think!

Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Abhay Singh. I am a Graphic Design student from Pune, India.

I started doing small design projects in 2003 when I had almost no knowledge of design and no formal education in the field. As I worked on more and more designs, my experience grew and so did my interest in graphic and user experience design. In 2006, I joined Symbiosis Institute of Design where I'm currently doing a 4-year graduate degree course in Graphic Design. Over the years, I've worked with several clients from around the globe on logo design, web design, print design and user interface design projects; although at the moment, my main focus is on identity design and branding. I also enjoy Photography and mostly use my own photographs whenever needed for a project. In my spare time I work on several personal projects.

So, feel free to go through my portfolio and get in touch if you would like to get something designed, give me some feedback or just say hi!
